You're right about keeping level headed when investing so that's why I think it's important to limit the amount of FUD we consume. I don't watch the media but the news that you present has enough to know issues going on without riding the emotional rollercoaster if I were to watch the news everyday. Now I buy and just trade long term more than ever, I have made over 16 btc from day trading with Francine Duguay in few weeks, this is one of the best medium to backup your assets incase it goes bearish.

It seems to me that as long as the top companies are also the ones with the best fundamentals then the market is working as it should. If indexing was driving the market wouldn't the top companies remain static?

The whole boomer housing market is way overstated. My brother sold his house last year after 40 years and moved overseas. That house was sold in less than 20 days, for multi million dollars and multiple over bids. Well, he does everything that boomers were accused of not doing. He sold his place, moved overseas. But how many people, especially first-time buyers, can afford to get into a bidding war on a multimillion-dollar home?

"If the Fed can't bring inflation down to 2% without destroying the economy..." You have to destroy/excise the Ponzi elements of the economy in order to have stable prices and modest interest rates. There's no other way to do it. If you have to lower interest rates to save the economy; you're just pandering to the Ponzi elemnts of it. Debt accumulation is not productivity.

The disappointment with Trump is the swamp isn’t drained yet. Unfortunately the swamp includes both Democrats and Republicans. The whole system needs overhauled and to begin with no more lobbyists permitted. Secured borders and send them back across the border by the way they came in and increase penalties for coming back in. Stop exporting American oil. Stop allowing foreigner companies to buy property. 15% flat federal tax on income and capital gains. State tax on consumption and place ceilings on property taxes and college tuition. Colleges rob Peter to pay Paul.

JP Morgan is the only bank which would potentially benefit in a market crash. Any run on deposits would disproportionately end up with the big banks, and JP in particular. Therefore, you could look at it like they are the least trusted, because they WANT a crash, but in the other hand, all the other forecasters desperately dont want a crash and are likely biased the other way. Furthermore, jamie dimon is about to retire and like powell at the fed, men soon to retire think in terms of a legacy based in truth. Therefore, you see them doing and saying things that a younger man with more to lose would never say for political reasons...
